1. Purpose
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the subscription to Hostabye, a service that automates the opening of a Ring intercom connected by the user. Subscribing implies acceptance of these Terms.
2. The service
Hostabye monitors the rings of the Ring intercom the user has linked to their account and opens the door according to the chosen rule (always-on or time slots). The user remains solely responsible for configuring their rules and for the consequences of an automatic opening.
3. Pricing

Prices are all taxes included. As Chicnuit LTD is not VAT registered, no VAT is applied. Prices may change; any change is notified at least 30 days in advance and applies only from the next renewal.
4. Payment
Payment is processed by our provider Stripe. Hostabye stores no card data. The subscription starts upon payment confirmation.
5. Renewal and cancellation
The subscription has no commitment and renews automatically at term. The user may cancel at any time from their dashboard or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; no pro-rata refund is due for the period already started, unless a mandatory legal provision states otherwise.
6. Right of withdrawal
Under EU consumer law, consumers have 14 days to withdraw without reason. However, by requesting immediate activation of the service (performance before the end of the period), the user consents to immediate performance and acknowledges losing the right of withdrawal once the service is fully performed. 7. Availability
Hostabye relies on Ring/Amazon's infrastructure, over which we have no control. If Ring changes or discontinues access to its service, automatic opening may be suspended. We use reasonable efforts to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
8. Limitation of liability
Hostabye is a convenience tool. The user acknowledges that automatic opening admits anyone who rings during the active slots. Chicnuit LTD shall not be liable for the consequences of an opening (or non-opening) resulting from the user's configuration, a third-party service failure, or force majeure. In any event, liability is limited to the amount paid by the user over the last 12 months.
9. Security of Ring access
The user's Ring password is never stored. Only an encrypted access token is kept to enable opening. The user may revoke this access at any time.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law applicable at Chicnuit LTD's registered office, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the user's country of residence.
